Day one of healthy eating and exercise

Day one ...

Basically, this time last year I was so fed up with my weight that I embarked on a fitness journey- eating healthily (which mainly consisted of cutting out chocolate etc for me) and doing some exercise. I really enjoyed body combat classes at my local gym.
Overall I lost half a stone which I was really happy with; I felt so much better!
I am not overweight, I am a size 12, but I was a size 10 up until I left sixth form in 2011 and I believe that if I stopped eating so much unhealthy food, this would be my natural size.
This year after two all-inclusive holidays (one with my family, another with a friend) I put all of the weight I had lost back on.

Therefore I have decided to try my best to lose that weight again (and hopefully more)! But most importantly I need to stick to my healthy lifestyle and keep the weight off!!!

Today I started with a blueberry & strawberry smoothie for breakfast (surprisingly filling!) Therefore I'm going to try and keep up with this all week. Here is the link to the recipe:

Today I also began week 2 of the NHS couch to 5k. I put it off all morning, but when I actually plucked up the courage I found it easier than I had anticipated (however it was still a challenge!) I felt so good after it. After that I attempted my Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred DVD for the first time,
It was sooooo hard!!! I thought I was going to die! 😂😂 But I could definitely feel it working! I'm going to try and do it every day if I can handle it! 😱

This is my first blog (so please bear with me!) I have started it to keep myself motivated, however I hope other people may identify with it. Often if I need inspiration I read other peoples journeys and that seems to help!
